Welcome to NSPPL, a beacon of hope established in 2013 amid the tumultuous aftermath of the Syrian civil war and crisis. NSPPL has not only provided vital support to amputees but has also built a sustainable framework to ensure lasting impact. At NSPPL, our mission is rooted in providing unwavering support to amputees as they navigate their journey toward recovery and strive for independence and self-sufficiency.
Driven by this steadfast commitment, NSPPL has emerged as a leading provider of comprehensive care for individuals affected by limb loss in northern Syria and Turkey. From the outset, we’ve focused on building strong foundations that allow us to continue our mission for years to come. Our state-of-the-art centers serve as sanctuaries of healing, offering a wide array of patient care and recovery services.
Expanding our reach and impact, we proudly opened the Al-Bab Center in northern Aleppo in 2019. We then opened facilities in Afrin, Jinderis, Jarabulus and most recently in Tal Abyad. This expansion underscores our relentless dedication to ensuring accessibility to our critical services, even in the most challenging circumstances.
From January 2023 to January 2024 alone, NSPPL provided 1035 prosthetic and orthopedic devices to 707 individuals within Al-Bab and the surrounding region. This achievement holds particular significance in the North West of Syria, where a severe lack of services had left many in dire need. About 1 in 3 individuals suffer from a war related physical impairment.
