 NSPPL
The National Syrian Project for Prosthetic Limbs

who we are?

Welcome to NSPPL—a beacon of hope founded in 2013 in the wake of the Syrian civil war. Since our inception, we have been unwavering in our mission to restore independence and dignity to individuals affected by limb loss across northern Syria and Turkey. By combining cutting-edge clinical care with a sustainable operational model, NSPPL has become a trusted leader in prosthetic and orthotic services for war-affected communities.

Our History & Impact

  • Founded in Crisis (2013): Established amid urgent need, NSPPL began by distributing life-changing prosthetic devices to amputees in Aleppo’s surrounding areas.

  • State-of-the-Art Centers: Today, our flagship facilities serve as sanctuaries of healing, providing comprehensive patient care, rehabilitation services, and community outreach.

  • Strategic Expansion:

    • 2019: Launched the Al-Bab Center in northern Aleppo

    • Subsequent Years: Opened additional hubs in Afrin, Jinderis, Jarabulus, and Tal Abyad, ensuring services reach even the most remote communities

  • Remarkable Reach (Jan 2023–Jan 2024): Delivered 1,035 prosthetic and orthopedic devices to 707 individuals, addressing a critical service gap in northwest Syria where one in three people live with war-related physical impairments.
